Croquettes of Prawns and Boiled Egg RecipesThe croquettes are commonplace in our table as starter or appetizer. Despite having simple ingredients, a base of béchamel sauce with chunks of some other ingredient, is a recipe that requires time in the kitchen. We can use ham or chicken, ingredients more common, but also mushrooms, cheese or as today shrimp and egg.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr. shrimp
  • 2 boiled eggs (boiled)
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 450 ml. whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 15 g butter
  • 4 tablespoons of flour
  • Chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Bread crumbs
  • 1 beaten egg

Method:

 

  1. It peeled shrimp. The heads and shells them cook them in a saucepan with milk and a pinch of salt until it boils. Strain milk and reserve hot.
  2. We sliced the Onion diced and sauteed it in a frying pan with 2 tablespoons of oil and a knob of butter over low heat. When the onion is almost transparent add the garlic very chopped and let it cook and cook a few minutes.
  3. Add flour and cook her during 2-3 minutes, stirring with a spoon of friend. Add the chopped shrimp and chopped egg, mix, and then begin to add the milk (1/3). We remove and control the fire so that it does not burn. When you start boiling the mixture, we will add little by little the rest of the milk constantly stirring with a spoon of wood or rod, unless we have a creamy mass that separates easily from the walls.
  4. When we achieve the desired thickness, leave 5 minutes more to fire and withdrew. Pour the dough into a source or flat dish and let cool.
  5. Once cold mass, we make croquettes, we went them through breadcrumbs, beaten egg with chopped parsley and again by breadcrumbs and the fry to golden-brown.
