Funnel Cake Recipes
Funnel cake, a staple of the folk festival in the long term, fairs and stages, have their names are produced. Dough fried in hot oil in a circular pattern, poured through a funnel and then cooked on both sides, until it is golden brown and crisp. Funnel cake is traditional or coated with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar to make the sweet treat, or is served with jam.
Ingredients:
- 2 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- Cinnamon sugar
Method:
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix the milk and eggs in a large bowl. Add the egg mixture to flour mixture. Beaten with a blender until smooth. Consistency must be thin enough to run through a funnel and small kitchen. Try it and if it is too thick to beat a little more milk. If it is too thin, a little flour over.
- Heat vegetable oil in an 8 “Pan”, up to what it is about 360 degrees to close down the funnel more low opening put my finger on it and fill the funnel of a generous 1/2 cup of dough. Keep the funnel near the surface of the oil and leave the dough in oil in a circular motion. FRY until golden brown, the use of forceps and spatula for width carefully flip pie. Cook the second side of 1 minute. Drain on absorbent paper, leaves and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar, or you can add to your Favorites and toppings.
