Padang Satay Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef fillet, cut into 2 x 2 cm
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 turmeric leaf sheet
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, crushed
  • 20 grams of rice flour, dissolve with 500 ml of rice last washing water
  • Fried onions for topping

Spices that are:

  • 1 tablespoon coriander, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin, toasted
  • 4 cardamom
  • 1/4 nutmeg
  • 1 cm cinnamon stick
  • 2 clove bud
  • 10 spring onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cm turmeric
  • 5 red hot chilli peppers
  • 2 red chilies
  • 2 cm galangal
  • 2 cm ginger
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil, saute ground spices with kaffir lime leaves, turmeric leaves and lemongrass until fragrant, lift some of spices, set aside.
  2. Pour the rice flour in a skillet solution contains some ingredients, stirring until boiling and thickened. Add salt. Lift.
  3. Marinate beef with stir spices, grilled over coals until golden. Lift.
  4. Dip satay in the sauce, sprinkle with fried onions. Serve.
