South Lemon Chess Pie Recipes
Lemon chess pie is definitely an old South dessert and often occurs in the majority of the revenue of the soul-food. It tends to be light and delicious. The lemons of the season, their depth always gives flavor mature wonderful dessert. My grandmother Jura that when she was a child, the Country Club of Baton Rouge prepared “the greatest” never pass the failures of lemon. Garnish with whipped cream, use ice vanilla soft, strawberries or blueberries, if desired.
Ingredients:
- 1 foot uncooked bark 9 “(down low)”
- Three eggs
- 3 tbsp after having cooled melted butter
- 3 tbsp milk (whole or low fat is good)
- TBS 25 Cup more 1 fresh lemon juice (pure is ideal)
- 1 tbsp grated zest of lemon
- 1 tbsp flour
- A tablespoon of cornstarch
- A blanco.75 cups of sugar
Method:
- Preheat oven to 375 °. A bowl of low or average lightly beat eggs. Add flour, corn flour and work together more sugar. Next, add the butter and combine. Finally, add the milk, juice, lemon, freshly pressed and the zest of lemon and mix. Pour the mixture into the pie shell and bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Leave to cool completely flat cake out at room temperature. Or, as the cake has cooled it will be able to cool in the refrigerator before offering it.
