Vegan Pie Chile Cornbread RecipesOne of the most important things you should know about me is my affection for the cake. I love talking about cake, especially like singing on the cake, but above all I am to eat the cake. I have one dedication of equal opportunities for all elements of cake-like crust independently of the form, or fill. So, to kick is definitely the first of the many messages of cake on the theme, I give you Pie Chile corn bread.

Chile ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil soup
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into cubes
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 ear Corn, kernels cut from the COB
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • ½ teaspoon width chili
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 box of vegetable broth (I recommend Swanson; many other brands are not edible)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Corn Bread ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup milk non-dairy products
  • Tablespoon distilled white vinegar and half
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • Optional: ½ to 1 cup of corn or beans or green chilies 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives

Method:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan, add onions, carrots, bell pepper and corn grain. Baked until vegetables are softened. Add the garlic and herbs to the pot and saute for a minute. Beans, tomatoes (liquid) and the vegetable broth and add porter to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook on the stove of 30-40 minutes, stirring from time to time. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. While Chile is simmering, prepare corn bread. Preheat oven to 375 °. For milk and vinegar in a small bowl and stir to combine. In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, dough and baking soda powder. Add oil and mix the ingredients dry milk and whisk until blended. The optional ingredients add at this time.
  3. Pay half of the dough to corn bread in a greased pie dish 9 “pan, pan Brownies, etc.” Spoon 3 or 4 cups of Chile on maize bread. Pour the rest of the dough on the lines of Chile. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out.

Ladle extra Chile at cake pieces and enjoy immediately!
